The oil around the plugs could just be the valve cover spark plugs seals leaking. Pretty easy to replace.
If the oil is on the electrodes, then that is a different story.
An overfilled oil pan could be the result of the dipstick tube being loose so that when the dipstick is removed, the dipstick tube pulls up slightly and it makes it appear that the oil level is low. You add more oil and then when the dipstick is put back in, the tube is pushed down and then when the dipstick is pulled out again (tube didn't move this time) it shows way overfilled.
If there is too much oil in the oil pan, immediately drain it down to the proper level or just do an oil change and then smell and look at the drained oil for any unusual smells or look.
